Hello everyone! I'm Adelia from Indonesia, and I'm planning to try aesthetic treatments in Seoul next year. But I'm a bit worried about the language barrier... I can speak English reasonably well, but not fluently. I'm afraid that during consultations, I might misunderstand the doctor or not fully grasp what's being explained.
Has anyone experienced this? Do most clinics in Seoul have English-speaking staff? Or should I prepare a translator before I go? I really want to be transparent and confident about what will be done to my face, so clear communication is extremely important to me.
Thank you if anyone can share their experiences! Any tips would be super helpful 💕

I understand your concern! When I first went for a consultation at Cellto, I brought along clear reference photos of what I wanted done and asked the doctor to speak slowly so I could understand better. They were very kind about it! 💕 Some places have translators or English-speaking staff. It's best to contact them before booking!
I had similar worries last year in Seoul too! My advice is to write down the questions you want to ask in advance using a translation app, or directly ask the clinic if they have staff who speak Chinese or Indonesian. Many places actually have experience with international patients. That's what I did, and I felt much more at ease 😊
I completely understand your concerns! I'm also a foreigner and had the same anxiety last year when I went for a consultation 😅 My advice is to prepare some notes or screenshots of professional terms in advance. This way, you can show them to the doctor during your consultation, which will be clearer. Some clinics do have consultants who speak excellent English, but not all of them do, so it's best to call ahead and ask if they offer English or translation services~
I had the same concern last year! Later, I found that many places have Chinese-speaking staff, so you can ask directly when you make an appointment if they have Chinese consultations 😊 If that doesn't work, you can also bring a translation app or ask a friend to help with a video call. Clear communication is really important!
