Hi everyone! I'm Nhung, and I'm planning to fly to Seoul soon for a skin consultation. Right now I only speak English fairly well, and my Korean is just basic phrases. I'm worried that when I consult with the doctor or staff at the clinic, they won't understand what I'm trying to say, or vice versa—I won't understand their advice clearly.
Has anyone here been through this before? Is English enough to communicate at clinics in Seoul? Should I prepare a dictionary, or try to learn more Korean beforehand? I've seen some girls use translation services or translator staff, but I'm not sure how much it costs or how effective it is.
I want to make sure I understand exactly what the doctor is saying, especially when it comes to the aftercare routine. Thank you all so much!

I totally get how you feel! I was worried about the same thing before going, but honestly, a lot of places in Seoul have staff or English support services—just call ahead and ask carefully about their English communication capabilities. Learning some basic Korean skincare terms also helps, or you can prepare your questions written down on paper to share with the doctor!
I was thinking about the same thing! Generally, a lot of places in Seoul have staff who speak English, but I'd recommend you prepare a small note with the medical terms you need in both Arabic and English so you feel more comfortable 💙
I understand your concerns! When I first went for a self procedure, English was manageable, but sometimes when explaining skin conditions in detail, it gets a bit tricky. Once you get the results, you need to understand the aftercare instructions, which is really important. I'd suggest trying a translation app or bringing a Thai friend who speaks Korean along with you!
