Swelling and bruising after minor surgery: How does everyone get through the recovery period?

Hi everyone! I'm Shih-han from Taiwan. I recently had a minor procedure done in Seoul, and it's only day three, so my face is still a bit swollen and has some slight bruising. I know these are normal reactions, but I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips for daily at-home care?

Right now, I'm focusing on cold compresses, drinking plenty of water, and sleeping with my head elevated as much as possible. However, I sometimes worry if I'm doing enough. Has anyone been able to share how they took care of themselves during the first few days? For example, what should be avoided in terms of diet, how long should exercise be paused, and what's the typical timeline for bruising to fade? I know everyone's recovery is different, but I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Also, how long does it usually take for swelling to noticeably improve? I'm a little worried about still looking puffy when I return to Taiwan 😅 Can any of you with experience offer some reassuring advice? Thanks, everyone!
