Hello everyone, I'm Peihan from Taiwan. I'm recently considering going to Seoul for some medical aesthetic consultations, but I'm quite worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but naturally, I'm more fluent in Chinese. However, I don't know any Korean at all 😅
I wanted to ask if anyone has had consultations in Seoul before. Do hospitals or clinics provide translators, or is it possible to communicate in English? I'm really concerned about not being able to clearly explain my thoughts or understand the doctor's advice. Has anyone successfully had a consultation using English or even Chinese?
If I really have to rely on a translator, will the consultation process become more complicated or take longer? I'd appreciate it if everyone could share their experiences. Thank you!

Take it easy! I think the same way you do! Actually, many clinics in Seoul have staff who can speak English and Chinese. I've seen some that also offer translation programs. While requesting an additional translator might take a little extra time, it's okay if you're fluent in Thai 😊
Hey Peihan! I'm actually in a similar boat as a US person thinking about going to Seoul soon, so I totally get the language anxiety. From what I've read, a lot of places in the consultation areas do have English-speaking staff or can arrange interpreters, but I'd definitely recommend calling ahead to confirm — it seems like that makes a huge difference!
