Hello everyone! I'm Bolor, from Mongolia. I'm thinking of getting some cosmetic procedures done in Seoul later this year, but my biggest concern is the language. I'm generally English-speaking, but not very good with medical terminology.
Is English enough for some hospitals? Or do you think I need to find a Mongolian-speaking translator? My friends are there now and they said they had language problems during their consultations. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any good advice?

Hi Bolormaa! I'm also thinking about going to Seoul this year and am a bit worried about the language barrier. From what I've asked friends who have been there, many clinics have staff who can speak English, but it's definitely better to prepare a list of questions and important medical terms beforehand—I'm planning to bring a translator or ask a friend who's more fluent in Korean to help with the consultation so it goes smoothly!
I completely understand your concerns! I'm also from overseas, and I was initially worried about communication difficulties with medical terminology. In my experience, many clinics do offer English consultations, but it's best to confirm their language support beforehand via message or phone to avoid any last-minute problems. If you're still concerned, you can consider bringing a translator friend, or writing down your questions and expectations beforehand; this will make the whole process much smoother!
