Hello ladies! I'm Huda from the UAE, and I'm thinking of going to Seoul soon for some cosmetic procedures. However, the thing that's worrying me a bit is the language barrier 😅
I don't speak Korean at all, and my English is intermediate, so I'm afraid I won't be able to explain my needs properly during consultations. Has anyone here been to Seoul without speaking Korean? What was your experience like? Do the clinics have staff who speak Arabic or functional English?
I'm worried that if I don't understand correctly what I want to tell the doctor exactly, especially during the first consultation. Any advice for me? Should I book an external translator, or is it better to go with a friend who speaks better English? Please help me 💕

Hi Huda! I totally get your concern because I experienced the same thing when I first went to Seoul 😅 In my experience, bringing a friend who speaks better English than a translator is better, as we can discuss directly and explain the small details that are important for the final result.
Hey, I was in the exact same boat! I recently went to Seoul, and while my English wasn't great, most of the nurses spoke at least basic English, so it wasn't as daunting as you might think. It might be a good idea to contact the clinic via email before you go and ask if they have English-speaking staff, rather than bringing a friend or translator.
I totally get how you feel, Fuda-san! I'm struggling with the same thing and was actually thinking of bringing a friend who's good at English with me. Language barriers are so stressful, aren't they? 😅 Apparently, many clinics are used to international patients, so it might be a good idea to ask beforehand via email if you can consult in English!
