Hi, I'm Riko. I'm thinking about getting some cosmetic treatments in Seoul, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier...
I know some clinics offer services in English, but honestly, wouldn't it be more reassuring to discuss medical terms and subtle nuances in Japanese? Has anyone here actually gone through with a consultation using only English, or looked for a place with Japanese-speaking staff?
I think it's important to be able to clearly communicate my hopes and concerns during the consultation, so I'd love to know what everyone else does. Is it safer to just look for places with Japanese support, or is it okay to use translation apps?
I'd really appreciate any advice!

I totally get how you feel, Riko! I had the same worries too 😅. When I actually had to deal with things in English, there were times when the finer nuances just didn't come across completely, so I really recommend looking for places with Japanese-speaking staff. By the way, Riko, have you already inquired with any clinics that offer Japanese support?
