Hi everyone! I'm Mega from Indonesia, and I'm planning a consultation in Seoul next month for aesthetic treatments. My main concern is the language barrier—will English be enough, or should I prepare some Korean? I know basic English but I'm not sure if it will be sufficient to explain the details of what I want.
Has anyone here had consultations in Seoul and can share their experience? Are there usually translators or staff who speak Indonesian/English? I'm a bit nervous about miscommunication since this is a pretty important treatment for me, so I want to make sure the doctor truly understands what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Hi! I'm also worried about the language barrier. Have you tried contacting them in advance to consult with the clinic? I've heard some places allow you to communicate your desired results via email or online chat beforehand using English or translation software. This way, you'll feel more prepared before you go 😊
I completely understand your concerns! I'm also a foreigner, and I was definitely nervous when I first went for a consultation. My advice is to prepare what you want in Chinese or English beforehand using Google Translate or another app, and bring photos with you. This way, the doctor can understand your needs more clearly. Many clinics have English-speaking staff, so you don't need to worry too much!
I completely understand your concerns! I was just as nervous last year, but many places actually have English-speaking consultants, and some even offer translation services. I recommend calling or emailing them in advance to let them know your language needs, so they can arrange for English-speaking staff to be available. Communication will be much smoother then 😊
