Hi everyone! I'm planning a trip to Korea in a few months and I'm really interested in getting some aesthetic work done while I'm there. The thing is, I barely speak Korean and I'm finding it super hard to actually read through reviews and figure out which places are legit versus just good at marketing.
I know there are translated review sites and English-language forums, but I'm honestly not sure how reliable those are? Like, how do you tell if a review is actually from a real patient or if it's been filtered somehow? And what should I actually be looking out for that might be a red flag—besides the obvious stuff like "doctor seems sketchy" lol.
Also, does anyone have tips for asking the right questions when you contact a clinic if English isn't their strong suit either? I don't want to misunderstand something important about what they're offering. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I understand, I have the same concerns about the language barrier! I have a question for you: have you ever experienced a discrepancy between what translation sites say and what you were told during a consultation at an actual clinic? I'm thinking of sending an email with my questions in English beforehand, but I'm wondering how to judge the reliability of their replies...
Yeah, I'm experiencing the same thing! By the way, when you were browsing reviews, did you come across anyone who used a translator or brought a local friend for consultations? I'm just curious about the safest way to communicate with staff if the language barrier is really severe.
I also don't speak the language 😅 How do you plan to communicate with the hospital? Are you looking for a translator or using translation software? I'm a bit worried about misunderstandings regarding the details, especially concerning treatment expectations.
