Hi everyone, I'm Yixuan from Taiwan. I'm planning to go to Seoul for some beauty consultations, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. My English is pretty good, but I'm not sure if I can fully understand the medical aesthetics terminology. Has anyone had a consultation in Seoul? Do clinics usually have staff who speak Chinese, or is English enough?
I'd like to know if I need to find a clinic with Chinese-speaking staff beforehand, or is English communication generally not a big problem? I'd love to hear everyone's experiences, especially how Taiwanese people communicate. Has anyone encountered language barriers?
Also, will the clinic mind if I bring translation software or a notebook to take notes? Thank you all for sharing your experiences!

I'm just as worried as you! Being Vietnamese, I feel uneasy about this situation. In my experience, bringing a phone to use Google Translate is the best way, and taking notes of important things will help a lot. You can also call the places you plan to visit beforehand to ask if they have any staff who speak Chinese!
I completely understand your concerns! I also had an English consultation before. Although I didn't understand some of the medical terminology, the consultants were generally very patient and would explain things to you using simple words or drawing diagrams. My suggestion is to email the place you want to go to in advance to ask if they have Chinese or English consultants. This will make you feel more at ease. You can also prepare a small note with some common vocabulary words to bring with you.
