Hi everyone, I'm Hua, and I'm planning to get a consultation for a minor aesthetic procedure in Seoul this year. My English is decent, but it's not super fluent, and I don't speak Korean. I wanted to ask if any of you have had consultations there—do I absolutely need to find a doctor who speaks Chinese, or can I get by with English?
I'm a bit worried that when it comes to more technical terminology or detailed questions, there might be some misunderstanding. Does anyone use translation apps, or do clinics usually arrange interpreters? I'd prefer not to go through an agency and want to consult directly, so I'm trying to get a sense of what it's actually like.
If anyone here has had a consultation in Seoul, could you share how you dealt with the language barrier? Thanks!

I was worried about the language barrier during my last consultation too, but honestly there are quite a few staff members who speak English—just not fluently. I downloaded a translation app on my phone as a backup and wrote down my main questions in notes beforehand, which made it so much easier. Give it a try and see how it goes!
