Hi, I'm Phuong from Vietnam. This is my first time preparing to get an aesthetic treatment in Korea. The thing is, I don't speak Korean—just a bit of English. I'm trying to do my research through online reviews, but it's hard to tell which ones are genuine and which are hidden ads.
Does anyone have experience who could let me know: how do you spot red flags during consultation or reviews? For example, what should I pay attention to when talking to clinics, or what shouldn't I trust at all? I'm worried I'll get scammed since I'm a foreigner 😭
Also, about using Google Translate to read Korean reviews—is it reliable? Or does anyone know of a better app for translation? I know it's not 100% accurate, but at least I can get the gist, right?
Thanks so much to anyone who can share their experience with me! 💕

Hi Phương! Since I was also a foreigner, I can understand you well. I agree that when using Google Translate, you can only get the main idea — so wouldn't it be more reliable to ask directly in English during the consultation? What's your experience been with the consultation process — have the clinics been good about responding to you in English?
Hey Phương! I totally get your concerns — this was my first time doing a treatment in Korea too! 😅 Just wondering, have you thought about finding a consultant who speaks English or Vietnamese? I've noticed a lot of clinics have multilingual staff, and it really helps with clear communication and avoiding misunderstandings!
I'm a foreigner too, so I totally understand your concerns! I wanted to ask—have you considered finding a consultant who speaks English? Some places seem to offer this kind of service, which would help you understand the details more clearly without having to rely entirely on translation~
Hey Phương! I'm from Vietnam too and I totally get your worries! 😅 I think Google Translate works fine, but I usually read it alongside before/after photos in articles to understand better rather than just relying on the text. And when I'm getting a consultation, I make sure to ask detailed questions about the procedure, whether I can follow up later, and see if they're patient in explaining things — if they seem rushed or don't want to give detailed answers, then I'll reconsider. Good luck to you! 💕
