Hi everyone, I'm Ziyi. I'm planning to go to Seoul for a consultation this month. However, I'm a little worried about the language barrier—my English is okay, but I might struggle with medical terminology. I'd like to ask if anyone has had a consultation there? Do many clinics have Chinese translators, or is English generally sufficient?
I've seen online that some places say Korean cosmetic clinics are very accustomed to international clients. I'm wondering if that's true. Could anyone share their experience? For example, how did you communicate during the consultation? Did you encounter any misunderstandings?
Also, I'd like to ask if I need translation services when I make the appointment in advance? Or can I just ask when I arrive? I'm a little nervous and don't want to waste consultation time because of language issues. Thank you!

Hi Jing! I'm also from Taiwan, so I understand your concerns. I'd like to ask if you called or emailed them beforehand to inquire about their language services? In my experience, it's always better to communicate beforehand in many places, so they can prepare translators in advance.
I had the same concern! When I went for my consultation, I mentioned in an email that I needed a Chinese translator, and they were very cooperative. However, I think I can communicate basic things in English; it's just that medical terminology is a bit difficult. I suggest you tell them you need translation services when you make your appointment. That way, they will arrange it in advance and won't waste your time.
I'm also worried about this! I was wondering if you contacted the clinic beforehand to confirm if they offer Chinese translation services? I've heard that some appointment teams speak pretty good English, but the doctors might not.
