Hi, this is Aki. I'm thinking about getting cosmetic treatments in Korea, but I'm not very good at Korean...😅 Honestly, I don't know how to read clinic reviews or how to trust them.
There seem to be review sites in English and Japanese, but the information is often limited, and some seem questionable... How do you all choose clinics? Are there any suspicious signs or points to avoid?
I'm using translation apps to look at Korean websites, but I'm worried I might be misinterpreting things. I'd like to hear about things I should be careful about as a foreigner, and experiences from people who have actually received treatments in Korea. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

I totally get the language anxiety thing, Aki! I've been using translation apps too and honestly sometimes I'm not 100% sure what I'm reading either. I think asking in English forums like this one is actually smart because you get real experiences from people who've navigated the same communication barriers as us—like what questions to ask beforehand or red flags when clinics seem pushy about decisions.
I was thinking the same thing, Aki! It felt really complicated to find reliable information because of the strange language and reviews, haha. It's nice to see someone else being cautious like that—hopefully we can both have a good and safe experience here.
I completely understand how you feel, Aki! I had the same anxieties. To be honest, I think you can easily misunderstand things if you only rely on translation apps, so I found it most reliable to refer to blogs by Japanese bloggers who have actually received the treatment, or to search for testimonials on social media. Also, I think it's important to pay close attention to how polite and thorough the staff are during the initial consultation.
