Hey everyone! So I'm seriously thinking about getting some work done while I'm in Korea next month, but I'm running into this problem — I can barely read Korean, so I'm totally lost when it comes to checking out reviews and feedback online.
I've found a few clinics that have English websites and seem legit, but I'm honestly not sure how to spot the difference between genuine reviews and... well, sketchy ones? Like, what are some red flags I should be watching for? Should I be wary of reviews that seem too perfect, or clinics that only show before-and-afters with minimal explanation?
Also, has anyone here used translation apps to read Korean reviews, or do you just stick with English sites? I'm nervous about making a decision based on incomplete info, especially since I'm coming from out of the country.
Thanks in advance — any tips would be really helpful! 💕

I used Google Translate to read Korean reviews and the results were pretty good, but the important thing is that I also found a Facebook group for foreigners to ask those who had been there directly, because they could explain their real-life experiences more clearly! 💕
I use a translation app too! It's great... even though some translations are funny, it's very helpful when reading real reviews from Thai people on Korean sites. 😄 And what helped me the most was asking Thai "locals" who had been there before through Instagram communities or Telegram groups, because they speak Thai and can answer my questions. Give it a try!
I'm also considering doing a project in Korea, but the language is really a challenge 😅 My solution is to use translation software to read Korean reviews and then compare them with the information on English websites. I feel like this helps me glean some clues. You should definitely be wary of those "perfect" reviews and those that only have photos. I'm also looking for places where we can communicate in English and where the staff is attentive. I hope we can both find reliable places!
