Hi everyone! My name is Nim, and I'm from Thailand. I'm planning to consult about facial cosmetic surgery in Seoul, but I have a slight concern about the language barrier 😅.
I can speak English reasonably well, but I don't speak Korean at all (maybe just a few memorized phrases). Has anyone consulted in Seoul before? Was it possible to communicate solely in English during your consultation? Are the doctors or staff fluent in English?
I'm worried about misunderstandings regarding crucial consultation details, as it's a very personal matter 😭. Or would it be better to hire an interpreter or bring a friend who speaks Korean? If anyone has experience, please share!

I'm also considering this! 😅 I've heard that many places have English-speaking staff or translators, but I'm still worried like you about the important details. Maybe I'll ask my Korean friend or find a translator to make sure I understand everything they say.
That's awesome you're asking about this! I'm curious, when you first contacted the clinic, did you email them or call directly? Because I'm planning a trip to Seoul too and I'm a bit confused about how to coordinate 😅
Hello! I was also worried about this when I first consulted in Seoul 😅 Actually, there are many places with staff who can speak English, but it's definitely better if you bring a friend or download a translation app on your phone so you can show it directly to the doctor — it's really helpful for important details!
