Hi everyone, I'm Yan, and I'm currently considering getting a cosmetic procedure done in Seoul. I'd like to ask if it's possible to communicate in English or Chinese during the consultation? My English is okay, but I might not understand the medical terminology, while Chinese is no problem at all.
I'm a little worried that I might not be able to express myself properly at the clinic due to the language barrier, especially in clearly explaining what results I want to the doctor. Have any of you ladies had consultation experience in Seoul? Do clinics usually have Chinese translators? Or should I do my research beforehand and write down my needs in English or Chinese?
Also, should I find a translator myself beforehand, or contact the clinic directly to see if they can arrange one? I'm a bit unsure about the process, so I'd like to hear everyone's advice~

I have the same concerns! I think the safest way is to call the hospital beforehand to ask if they offer Chinese consultation services or can help arrange translation. That way, you'll feel more at ease. If not, write down your desired outcome in Chinese or English, even bringing reference pictures. This will make communication much clearer, and the doctor will be able to understand your needs more accurately.
Yan, I'm worried about this too! Have you tried contacting places beforehand to ask if they offer Chinese language support, or have you already consulted anywhere? I'd like to hear your experience so I can prepare better 😊
