Hi everyone, I'm Yao. I've been thinking about getting some medical aesthetic treatments in Seoul recently, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but I'm not entirely confident with medical terminology. I wanted to ask if English is sufficient for consultations at clinics, or if it's safer to look for places with Chinese-speaking services.
I've seen some clinics online that seem to offer translation services, but I'm not sure if this is standard or an extra charge. Have any of you had experience with this? Is it smoother to communicate directly in English, or do you end up needing a translator to fully express your ideas?
Ultimately, my main concern is ensuring the doctor truly understands my ideas and expectations, and I don't want any misunderstandings due to communication issues. If anyone has tried this before, I would be so grateful if you could share your experience!

I completely understand your concern! I've had similar experiences. I think having a translator is better because the details about aesthetic centers need to be explained 100% accurately, otherwise, misunderstandings can easily arise.
