Hi, I'm Diep from Vietnam, and I'm planning a trip to Seoul to explore beauty services. However, I'm a bit concerned about communication — will English be sufficient to converse with doctors and consultants? I can speak English reasonably well, but I'm not fluent, and I don't know any Korean.
Has anyone consulted in Seoul using only English? Were they able to thoroughly explain what you wanted to ask? I'm worried I won't be able to ask detailed questions or fully understand their explanations.
Or should I find someone to help with translation? Do any of you have experience with this? Thank you!

Hi there! I wanted to ask, when you talk about consulting in English, do you try to contact them in advance to ask if they have English-speaking staff? In my experience, some places do have people who speak English at least, which is better than trying to ask or checking reviews beforehand.
Hii Diep! I had this experience too when I first went to Seoul, and honestly, many of the staff at the consultation places speak English. They might not be perfect, but they understand and are very patient. My tip: come with a list of questions prepared beforehand (you can write it on your phone or on paper), so it's easier to explain and you don't have to talk too much. If you're still nervous, some places also have translator services, but there's an extra fee, so it really depends on your budget and comfort level!
Hi Diep, I'm also from Vietnam. The last time I went for a consultation, I just spoke English normally, and they understood everything. I think if you speak slowly and clearly, it'll be fine, no need to worry too much. If you're still concerned, you can write down your questions beforehand to avoid forgetting, or ask if they offer Vietnamese support – many places do!
