Hi, this is Eina. I'm planning to go to Seoul next month for a consultation about cosmetic treatments, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. 😅
I can only manage basic conversational English, and I'm honestly not confident I can understand medical explanations. I've heard that some cosmetic clinics in Seoul offer services in Japanese, but what's the reality? Has anyone gone for a consultation using only English?
Or would it be safer to look for a clinic with staff who speak Japanese? Since this is my first treatment, I want to understand every little nuance. I'd really appreciate any advice!

I totally get the anxiety! I'm in the same boat as you honestly — my English is fine for everyday stuff but medical terminology makes me nervous too 😅 I've seen a lot of places in Seoul that do have English-speaking staff, though the level varies. That said, if you can find a clinic with Japanese speakers, that might give you more peace of mind for your first time since you'll catch all those details. Maybe try reaching out to a few places beforehand to ask about language support? That way you're not stressing during the actual consultation!
I completely understand your concerns! I'm also considering consulting in Seoul, and language is definitely an issue. I've heard some clinics have multilingual staff, but as you said, finding a clinic with Japanese or Chinese-speaking staff might give me more peace of mind. However, perhaps you could email them beforehand or use a translation app to ask if they can arrange an English-speaking consultant? I look forward to hearing your feedback after your consultation!
