Hi everyone, it's Ying. I'm thinking about going to Seoul for a medical aesthetics consultation this year, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, and my Chinese is definitely fine, but I've heard that many doctors at clinics might not speak Chinese very well? Has anyone here had a consultation in Seoul and can share their actual experience?
I'm mainly looking to understand the process and see if it's suitable for me, but if communication is difficult during the consultation, I feel the results will be greatly compromised. I'm wondering if I should prepare some notes in advance, or check if the clinic offers translation services? However, I also don't want to waste money, so I'd like to hear everyone's opinions first.
If anyone has had a successful consultation in English or Chinese, could you please share your experience? Did the doctor speak it themselves, or was there a translator present? I'd really appreciate it!

I totally understand your concern! I was also worried about the language barrier at first. But in my experience, most clinics catering to international clients will have staff who speak English well. I recommend calling ahead to ask if there will be someone who speaks your language, or it's a good idea to prepare a small note.
