Hi everyone, my name is Hua, and I'm considering getting a minor cosmetic procedure done in Seoul. However, I'm a little worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but definitely not as fluent as my Chinese. I'd like to ask those of you with experience – is communicating in English enough during the consultation? Or should I find a translator beforehand or see if there are any consultants who speak Chinese?
I've heard that many places in Seoul are quite welcoming to international clients, but since cosmetic procedures involve the body, I want to make sure I can clearly express my thoughts and concerns to avoid misunderstandings due to language barriers. Has anyone experienced this? How did you handle it?
Also, when making an appointment by email or phone in advance, is it usually done in English, or are there other methods? I'm a little nervous, as it's my first time going, and I want to be well-prepared.

Sister, have you tried contacting them beforehand via email or phone to ask if they have staff who speak English or Chinese? I've heard that many places in Seoul have translators or foreign language staff, but it's always better to confirm beforehand.
Hello! Thank you for the helpful question. Honestly, I'm also concerned about this issue — have you tried contacting any clinic already? What was your impression of them? Were they understanding of English, or were there communication problems?
I'm going to Seoul next month and I'm worried about the language barrier too! I'm glad to see others are asking about this as well, because we all want to make sure we can communicate clearly and directly 🙌
