Hello everyone, my name is Nur from Indonesia. I'm planning an aesthetic consultation in Seoul next month, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. I speak English but not Korean at all. Has anyone had a consultation there? Do the staff speak English, or do I need a translator?
I actually want to ask for details about a treatment I want to try, and I'm worried about miscommunication due to the language barrier. Should I book a translator first, or do clinics usually have staff who speak English? I'd love some insight from those with experience. I'm afraid it'll just get complicated. 😅

I completely understand your concerns! I also went to Seoul last year only speaking English. It's true that some clinic staff don't speak English very well, but most beauty clinics have English-speaking consultants or translators. You can call or email them in advance to ask if they provide English services, which will put your mind at ease.
I'm also planning to consult in Seoul, and I completely understand your concerns! From what I understand, many clinics have English-speaking staff, but to ensure smooth communication, especially when discussing specific desired results and concerns, it might be a good idea to contact the clinic in advance to inquire about their English services—some places can even arrange translation, although that may cost extra.
