Hey everyone! So I just got back to my hotel after a minor procedure and I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage some swelling and light bruising. I've got the aftercare sheet from the clinic, but I'd love to hear what actually worked for people in real life, you know?
I'm icing it on and off, keeping my head elevated, and staying super hydrated. Has anyone found anything else that really helped? I'm wondering if there's a sweet spot for how often to ice, or if certain foods/supplements actually make a difference. Also curious if people found makeup or specific clothing choices helpful during the recovery phase—I'd rather not look like I just went ten rounds if I can help it 😅
Plus, I'm still a bit nervous about when it's okay to do normal stuff again. Like, when did you feel comfortable going back to the gym or sleeping normally? I know everyone's different, but just want to get a sense of typical timelines. Any tried-and-true tricks you swear by?

My swelling was also very noticeable after the procedure! My little tip is that the intervals during cold compresses are important; you can't apply them continuously. I alternated between applying for about 15 minutes and resting for 15 minutes, and I felt the results were pretty good. Also, you really need to drink a lot of water. I was drinking tons of warm water every day during that time 😅 Wishing you a smooth recovery!
Oh man, I'm actually thinking about getting something done soon too, so this is super helpful to read! The head elevation + ice thing sounds like it's working for you already—I've heard keeping it up consistently makes a real difference. Hopefully the swelling goes down fast and you get back to normal activities soon!
