Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Seoul next month to look into some aesthetic treatments, and I'm honestly a bit nervous about the language thing. I speak zero Korean, lol. I know English is pretty common in bigger cities, but I'm wondering if anyone here has had consultations at clinics in Seoul where English was enough? Like, did they have English-speaking staff, or would I need a translator?
I'm hoping to get a consultation just to ask questions and see what might be right for me — nothing booked yet. But I'd feel way more comfortable knowing whether I can get by with English or if I should arrange for someone to help me out beforehand.
Also, if you've used a translator (like an app or a real person), how did that go? Any tips would be super helpful. I really want to make sure I understand everything clearly before making any decisions!

I have the same concerns! I'm thinking of going to Seoul for a consultation next month, but I don't speak any Korean, so I'm also worried about the language barrier. I feel that it might be safer to ask the clinic directly before making an appointment if they have English-speaking staff or translation services, so that at least I can ensure that I can understand them clearly during the consultation.
When I went to Seoul for a consultation last time, I was also worried about the language barrier, but actually most beauty clinics have staff who speak English, or at least can communicate using translation software! My suggestion is to send them a message in simple English before making an appointment to confirm that they offer English consultation services. This will make you feel more at ease when you go, and you won't need to find an interpreter separately.
I'm also a Chinese speaker, so I totally understand your concerns! I'd like to ask if you plan to contact the clinic directly to inquire if they have Chinese or English-speaking staff, or would you like to find a translation app before you leave? I've heard that some places allow you to book consultation sessions with foreign language communication skills in advance, but I'm not sure if that's common.
