Hi everyone! I'm planning a trip to Seoul soon and I'm thinking about getting a consultation for a procedure I've been researching. I speak basically no Korean (okay, maybe "hello" and "thank you" lol) and I'm kind of nervous about the language thing. Has anyone done consultations there without speaking Korean? Like, do most places have English-speaking staff, or should I be looking specifically for clinics that advertise English services? I'm also wondering if bringing a translator app or something would actually help, or if that feels super awkward in person?
I'm not planning to do anything on this trip, just want to get info and ask questions, you know? But I want to actually understand what they're saying about my skin concerns and options. Would love to hear from anyone who's been through this! Did you feel comfortable communicating? Any tips for making it less stressful?

I'm considering something similar too! I think bringing a translation app will definitely help. Many consultants are also used to international patients, so you don't need to be too nervous. I've heard that listing your questions in English via email or a messaging app beforehand will make things clearer, which will make the in-person consultation go much smoother. You got this!
I tried this! Honestly, the translation app helped me a lot and it wasn't awkward at all — the staff were very understanding. The important thing is to write down your questions before you go for your consultation so you're prepared! 💙
