Hi everyone! I'm WanChen from Taiwan. I'm recently considering getting a small aesthetic procedure in Seoul, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but not fluent, and of course, Chinese is no problem. I wanted to ask if anyone has been to Seoul for a consultation and what the clinic environment is usually like. Do doctors or consultants speak English, or is it necessary to find a place with Chinese services?
I'm a little concerned that relying solely on English might lead to unclear communication for more detailed aspects, like expectations and post-operative care. But if I *must* find someone who speaks Chinese, my options might be more limited? Has anyone had a similar experience and can share it?
Thanks!

I completely understand your concerns! I'm also from Taiwan and had the same doubts when I went for a consultation in Seoul last year. In my experience, many places actually have international customer service teams, but the clarity of communication really varies by clinic. That's why I ended up using Chinese phone calls or Line for consultations first, which made me feel more at ease. You can try asking if they have Chinese consultation services. If not, prepare more notes and pictures to help with English communication, which will make you feel a bit more secure!
Hello! In which language would you be more comfortable explaining? I believe the quality of the radiologist is more important than the language itself, but if you need a detailed explanation, it might be beneficial to have an interpreter before your consultation.
