Hi, this is Isaki. I'm planning to go to Seoul next month to get a beauty consultation, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. I'm fairly good at English, but I'm wondering if I can explain things more clearly and convey subtle nuances better if I only speak Japanese...
Are there many clinics in Seoul that offer services in English? Or should I look for one where Japanese is spoken? Since it's my first time, I want to be able to properly explain my wishes and my physical condition.
For those who have actually gone for a consultation, what was it like? Please tell me if you had any language difficulties. Is it okay to use a translation app? I'm looking forward to your advice!

I felt the same way! I was worried about the language barrier at first, but I found that most clinics in Seoul have staff who can speak foreign languages, even if not fluently. They try their best to understand. Using a translation app is also really helpful. When booking in advance, I wrote down which languages I could speak and checked beforehand whether the clinic's staff spoke Japanese.
Oh, I was wondering the same thing! Why don't you contact the clinic in advance to ask if they have interpreters or speak Japanese? I've heard that many places in Seoul have multilingual staff, so I thought it would be better to check beforehand for peace of mind. 😊
