Hi everyone! So I'm seriously considering getting some work done while I'm in Korea next month, but I'm honestly struggling with how to evaluate clinics when I can barely read Korean. I can use Google Translate, but I feel like I'm probably missing a lot of nuance, you know?
I'm wondering—what do you all look for when you're reading reviews? Are there any obvious red flags I should be watching out for? Like, I've heard some clinics might use before/afters that aren't actually their own patients, or oversell results. I don't want to be paranoid, but I also want to be smart about this.
Also, do you think it's worth getting a consultation with multiple places even if the language barrier is awkward? I speak a tiny bit of Korean but definitely not medical terminology. Has anyone else navigated this as a non-Korean speaker?
Thanks in advance! I'm trying to do my homework before I get there.

I'm literally in the same boat – going next month and also nervous about the language barrier! I think getting consultations at a few different places is definitely worth it, even if your Korean is limited, because you can pick up on how they explain things and whether they actually listen to what you want vs. just pushing their standard procedures.
I totally understand your concerns! I'm from abroad too, and language is a huge barrier. In my experience, it's safer to consult with several places so you can compare and see which is more professional in communicating with foreigners—like those who provide translators or staff who speak English. Also, pay attention to whether they serve a lot of international patients, as they're usually more prepared and clear in explaining the process. Good luck!
