How is everyone caring for swelling and bruising after minor procedures?

The cold really helps a lot in the first few days, but I noticed that light movement after a while (like a gentle walk) was better than sitting still; circulation helps a bit. In my experience, keeping your face clean and getting good sleep also seems quite important.
