Tips for treating swelling and bruising after minor treatments — what's your experience?

Hi everyone! So yesterday I just finished a minor treatment here, and now my face is a bit swollen and has some light bruising. This is my first time doing this so I'm a little panicked haha. The doctor said it's normal, but I wanted to ask those of you who have experience — what do you do to speed up recovery?

I've heard people mention cold compresses, sleep position, and avoiding makeup for now. But I'm curious, how long does the swelling usually take to go down? And are there any specific tips about food or drinks that can help? I'm a bit worried because I have a family event next week.

Btw, does anyone have recommendations for gentle skincare for the recovery phase? I'm afraid of using something wrong and making it worse. Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to share their experiences!
