Hello everyone, I'm Liyun from Taiwan. I'm recently considering getting some beauty consultations in Seoul, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but not fluent, and of course, Mandarin is fine for me. I wanted to ask if anyone has had consultations at clinics in Seoul? Do they speak English? Or are there translation services available?
I'm actually a little nervous because beauty consultations require very detailed communication, and I'm afraid my English won't be good enough to clearly explain my needs or to understand the doctor's advice. Has anyone had an experience where they successfully communicated in English or another language? Do they provide translators? Are they paid or free?
If any Taiwanese or other Chinese speakers have had consultations in Seoul, could you share your experiences? I'd really like to understand the situation better so I can decide whether to go. Thank you all!

I totally get the anxiety! I'm from the US and had similar worries before my first consultation here. Honestly, most places I contacted were pretty accommodating — some had English-speaking staff, and others offered interpreters, though I'm not 100% sure if all of them charge for that service. I'd say definitely reach out to a few clinics beforehand via email or message and ask about language support — that way you know what to expect and can pick a place where you feel comfortable communicating. Good luck with your consultations!
