Hello everyone, I'm Jing, from China. I'm currently planning a cosmetic consultation trip to Seoul, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but honestly, medical terminology can be a bit confusing for me. I'd like to ask experienced sisters here, is English sufficient for consultations at Korean clinics? Or are there more places that offer Chinese translation services?
I've heard that some clinics have translators, but I'm not sure if it's a common practice or if it requires a special appointment. If I can only communicate in English, I'm a bit afraid of not understanding the doctor's professional explanations or not being able to clearly express my needs. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Also, I'd like to ask how I should prepare before going. Is it better to communicate via email beforehand, or will there be more questions during the on-site consultation? I'm really a bit nervous and really don't want to waste time or misunderstand the doctor's advice due to language issues. I hope everyone can share some practical advice!

I was also nervous before my consultation in Seoul! My experience was to send my ideas and photos via email or WeChat in advance. This way, the doctor can better understand your needs, and the in-person consultation will be much smoother. English is actually sufficient; they can understand the keywords. Some clinics do offer translation services, but you need to ask beforehand. I only found out about the Chinese translation service after inquiring. Bringing a notebook to jot down key points is also very helpful 😊
