Hi everyone! I'm Hsinyi from Taiwan, and I'm seriously considering getting a cosmetic treatment in Seoul. Honestly, my biggest worry is the language barrier 😅. My English is pretty good, but I only know a few basic Korean phrases. I'd like to ask if communicating in English is enough for the consultation? Or is it safer to speak Korean?
I've seen some people online say that many clinics offer English translation services, but I don't know if that's really common. Has anyone recently gone to Seoul for a consultation? What was your experience like? Did the clinic provide translation services, or did you bring your own translation app? I'm a little nervous, worried that unclear communication will cause problems.
Also, I'd like to know how to ask in English when making an appointment if I really want to go? Are there any points I should pay attention to? Thanks for all the advice!

I understand your concerns. I was worried about the language barrier at first too. But I found that many places have staff who speak English well enough. The best thing to do, however, is to inquire beforehand whether they offer interpreter services, as this varies from place to place. 😊
Shin, have you tried contacting the places beforehand by email in English to ask if they offer interpretation services, or will you call them directly when you arrive in Seoul?
