Hi everyone, I'm Fang. I had a small cosmetic procedure done in Seoul yesterday, and now I have some swelling and bruising on my face. I'm a bit worried about how long the recovery will take. My doctor gave me some basic aftercare instructions, but I'd really like to hear about your actual experiences — do you have any daily care tips that help reduce swelling? Things like cold compress, diet, sleeping position, that sort of thing?
Right now I'm mainly doing cold compresses and being careful not to eat anything too spicy, but honestly I'm still a bit uncertain if I'm doing it right. Recovery speed must be different for everyone, right? If anyone has been through something similar, I'd especially love to hear how you got through the first two weeks and if there are any pitfalls to avoid.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!

It sounds like you're doing cold compress therapy and adjusting your diet, which all make a lot of sense! I wanted to ask—are you also propping up your pillow when you sleep right now? A lot of people say that helps with the swelling, but I'm not totally sure how effective it actually is. Have you tried that?
I went through the same situation too! From my experience, sleeping on a high pillow really helped a lot in reducing swelling, and drinking plenty of water was truly the key. As for food, I avoided anything salty or spicy for the first few weeks and felt like I recovered faster 💙
I've been through the same thing, and what I found most helpful was sleeping with a pillow higher than usual to reduce swelling — you could give it a try! I also drank plenty of water and avoided alcohol and coffee during the first week, but everyone recovers differently so just follow your doctor's guidance 😊
Hey Fang! I'm curious about something—how have you been sleeping all this time? I read somewhere that sleep position affects the swelling, but honestly I'm still not sure—does sleeping with a higher pillow actually help or is it just coincidence? 😅
