Post-procedure care tips—anyone have any experiences?

Hi everyone! So yesterday I just finished a minor procedure here, and now I'm dealing with quite a bit of swelling and bruising. I've never experienced this before, so I'm a little worried if this is normal or how to properly manage it.

Can anyone share how you handle swelling and bruising after a procedure? I've tried cold compresses but I'm curious if there's anything else that can help. I'd also like to know how long it usually takes to recover until the swelling subsides—I know everyone is different, but I'd just like a general idea.

Oh, and are there any restrictions I should be aware of? Like skincare routines, makeup, or daily activities? The doctor gave instructions, but I'd also like to hear from the experiences of friends here who might have gone through this before.
