Hi, this is Yuka. I recently had a minor cosmetic procedure, but I ended up with more swelling and bruising than I expected...😅
The procedure itself wasn't very painful, which was good, but I'm unsure about aftercare. I've heard that applying ice is good, but how long should I keep it cold? Or should I switch to warming it partway through? Also, when can I start wearing makeup again...?
If anyone has experience with cosmetic procedures in Korea, or has had a similar experience, I'd love to hear about any helpful aftercare tips you've found. Any advice on diet, daily life adjustments, anything at all would be appreciated. How you managed while the swelling subsided would also be helpful!

Haha, I totally understand how you feel! I didn't expect the swelling to be so bad last time either. Ice packs are really important. I kept ice packs on for the first three days, and then gradually switched to warm compresses, which helped. You can ask the clinic for their advice, because different treatments might have slightly different approaches.
Hey Yuka! Did you find that avoiding certain foods actually made a difference with the swelling, or was it more about just being patient with the ice/heat routine? I'm curious what people's experience has actually been like vs. what the clinic recommends 😅
Yuka, what method did you use to reduce swelling? I'm also experiencing swelling and bruising, and I'm not sure whether to apply a cold or warm compress first 😅
I'm also considering doing something similar, so this comment is very helpful! Thank you for sharing your experience; I'll remember to mentally prepare for the swelling and bruising 😅
