Hi everyone, I'm Qing. I've been thinking about going to Seoul for some skin care consultations recently, but I'm a bit worried about the language barrier. My English is okay, but not particularly fluent, and Chinese is definitely the most comfortable for me. I wanted to ask everyone—is English sufficient when consulting at medical aesthetic clinics in Seoul? Or do many places have Chinese translators or doctors who speak Chinese?
I've heard that Seoul has quite a few clinics that specifically cater to international clients, but I'm not sure how their language services actually work. Has anyone been there recently? Should you clarify the need for translation when booking in advance, or do you just go and communicate on the spot? I'm a bit nervous that miscommunication could affect the quality of the consultation.
If any sisters have experience with this, could you share how you've dealt with the language issue? Thank you so much!
