Hi, this is Akari. I'm currently considering cosmetic procedures in Korea, but honestly, I'm not very good at Korean, and I'm struggling to understand online reviews. Even when I try to translate them using Google Translate, it's difficult to judge whether the information is truly reliable...
How do you all choose clinics? I'd especially appreciate any warning signs that foreigners should be wary of. For example, do you ever feel suspicious of reviews with heavily edited photos?
Also, I'd like to hear from people with experience about what to check before actually undergoing a procedure. The language barrier makes me even more anxious. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Akari, I can totally relate! I had the same problem with the language barrier. By the way, when you actually went for counseling, did you use an interpreter or send questions by email beforehand? Or should I look for a clinic that offers English-language services? I'm not sure.
I feel just as worried as you! I usually try to find reviews from other foreigners on English or Vietnamese forums to compare, because using Google Translate is really difficult to assess reliability 😅 The most important thing I find is to contact the clinic directly via email or chat to ask if they respond attentively, and to see if they offer interpreter support, so that will give you more peace of mind when going for a check-up.
