Hi, my name is Rin. I'm planning to get some cosmetic procedures in Seoul soon, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. I can manage basic conversations in English, but I'm not confident about detailed medical explanations... How many clinics actually have staff who speak Japanese?
Last year, a friend of mine had a procedure in Seoul and said she managed with English and a translation app, but since it's about my own skin, I want to be able to understand everything properly before discussing it. What do you all do? Do you send emails beforehand to confirm if they speak Japanese, or do you have any other strategies?
Also, what do you do if they don't speak Japanese during the actual consultation? Is it okay to bring a translation device? I'd appreciate any advice! 🙏
