Hi everyone! I'm Huiwen from Taiwan. I'm considering getting some beauty treatments in Seoul, but I'm having a very practical problem – language. My English is okay, and Chinese is no problem, but I barely speak any Korean. Has anyone had experience consulting at clinics in Seoul? Do they all have staff who speak either English or Chinese?
I'm worried that unclear communication will affect the quality of the consultation, because it's really important to clearly express my needs and expectations. Has anyone tried using English or translation apps for the initial consultation? Or are some clinics actually better prepared for international clients? I'd love to hear everyone's real experiences!
If anyone knows of any clinics that are relatively friendly to international patients, please share! I just want to understand the actual situation first and see how I can best prepare. Thank you!

Bi is also a foreigner, so I understand you well! People I've heard say that many clinics use English or translation apps, but not all places are the same. It was very helpful to first ask questions in English through online booking and get a translation app. Before you decide which place to go, first email them and say that language is a problem. Many of them don't have English speakers or translators ready.
Hi! I had a similar experience when I was in Seoul, and honestly, communication is really important. A tip: try contacting the clinic via email or chat before you arrive—many can reply in English, and you can directly ask for a translator or staff member who speaks Mandarin. Don't hesitate to use Google Translate, too; they usually understand things well!
