Tips for caring for swelling and bruising after a minor procedure - anyone?

Hi everyone! So I just had a minor procedure yesterday and am currently dealing with some pretty significant swelling and bruising. I'm curious how you guys handle a situation like this, as this is my first time here.

I've already received basic instructions from where I went, but I'd love to hear from those of you who have been through the same thing. I know that cold compresses are important at the beginning, but I'm still a bit confused about when to stop using ice and start warm compresses. And any tips for your makeup or skincare routine during recovery? I'm worried I'll make things worse, haha.

I'd also love to hear about your daily routine during recovery — what do you do to stay comfortable and help the healing process? Budget for aftercare products is also likely a concern, so I'm curious about what's effective but doesn't have to be super expensive.
