Hello everyone, I'm Yixuan from Taiwan. I'm thinking about trying out some medical aesthetics treatments in Korea recently, but my Korean is really not great, and it's a huge hassle when I'm reading reviews. Many clinic introduction pages are in Korean, and I can only rely on translation software, but I feel like the translations aren't very accurate. Sometimes I can't tell if a review is genuine or fake.
I'd like to ask everyone, how do you judge whether a clinic's reviews are trustworthy? Are there any red flags I should be aware of? For example, what kind of reviews look like advertisements or seem a bit strange? I'm particularly interested in knowing if there are any tips for foreigners to avoid being scammed.
I'd also like to ask if anyone has used platforms in Chinese or English to find clinic information? Or how do you communicate? I'm a bit worried that language barriers might cause misunderstandings. Any advice is welcome, thank you everyone!

I totally understand Ishuan's feelings! Japanese is my native language too, so reading medical reviews in Korean is really tough. Translation apps often miss subtle nuances, and honestly, it's hard to tell the difference between genuine reviews and those that sound like ads. In my case, I look for firsthand experiences from people who've actually had procedures in Japanese communities or on social media, or I reach out to them directly via message. For language concerns, many places offer interpreters during hospital consultations, so it might be a good idea to check that beforehand.
