Hey everyone! So I'm seriously considering getting some work done while I'm in Korea next month, and I've been trying to read through reviews online. Honestly though, I'm running into a wall because my Korean is pretty basic, and even with translation apps it's hard to tell what's actually real vs. what might be fake or overly filtered.
I'm wondering — how do you all navigate this? Are there certain platforms that feel more trustworthy than others? And what red flags have you personally noticed that made you skip a place? Like, I'm trying to figure out if overly perfect reviews are a sign something's off, or if there are other things I should be watching for.
Also, if anyone has tips on how to spot reviews that seem... sketchy (like maybe paid reviews or something?), I'd really appreciate it. I want to feel confident about my choice, but I also know I'm at a disadvantage not being fluent in the language. Any advice would mean so much!

I've been in the exact same situation! Reading Korean reviews and then translating them into Vietnamese always feels a bit off, not quite right. I've found the best approach is to look for people who've gone before you in international groups. They often write in English or Vietnamese, which makes it easier to understand, and their reviews seem more genuine because they're not trying to cater to everyone.
Reading your post, I feel the exact same way! I'm actually planning to do something similar on my next trip 😅 The language barrier is really tough, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing it. Hoping to get some good tips from those who have been through it!
