Hi, this is Mio. I'm planning to go to Seoul next month for a beauty treatment consultation, but I'm a little worried about the language barrier. I can only speak basic English, and I barely speak any Korean. I've heard that there are places where Japanese is spoken, but what's the reality?
Are there people who can get by with just English during the consultation? Or should I study Korean, or should I look for a place that speaks Japanese...? To be honest, I'm really worried about the language barrier because I want to convey subtle nuances.
If anyone has actually had a consultation in Seoul, I would be grateful if you could tell me what it was like. Do people use translation apps? I'd appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

I completely understand how you feel, Mio! I had the same worries. When I actually went, there were some clinics that managed to help me with translation apps and simple English, but honestly, it was really difficult to convey the subtle nuances. It might be safest to research and contact clinics in advance that have Japanese-speaking staff.
