Hi everyone, I'm Hạnh from Vietnam. I'm planning to get some procedures done in Seoul, but I don't really know Korean, only a few basic words. The problem is, when I look at review sites or forums, I get completely lost because I can't read Korean 😭
Has anyone been in a similar situation? I want to ask how to tell which reviews are trustworthy, especially since Google Translate can sometimes be hard to understand. What red flags should I look out for? For example, I see some reviews that are very good about a place, but I'm not sure if they're fake or real, or if the writers were paid to post them.
I also want to know if there are other ways to find information besides relying on reviews, or if I should ask friends who have tried it before. I know most places have staff who speak English or Chinese, but I'm still a bit worried about communication. Do any of you have any experience? 🙏

I can totally understand your concerns! I had the exact same issue the last time I was in Seoul 😅 My advice is to check the photos and videos in reviews first, as these are harder to fake and give you a more visual idea of the results. Also, look for places with reviews from people of many different nationalities; these reviews tend to be more authentic. Additionally, you can communicate with the clinic in advance via WhatsApp or email using translation software. This way, you'll feel more at ease than if you just showed up in person~
I totally understand how you feel, Hạnh! 😅 I was also confused like this when I first moved to Seoul. I find the best way is to ask friends or acquaintances in Vietnamese groups here, because they've been through it, so their advice will be more genuine than pre-written reviews. Plus, try to contact the place you want to try directly — if they have English or Chinese-speaking staff, you can ask them detailed questions directly to avoid misunderstandings from Google Translate.
I totally understand your concerns! I was wondering if you've considered using a translation app to chat with the clinic's English or Chinese customer service before your consultation? That might help you clarify some basic things beforehand. Or, do the places your friend recommended usually have smooth communication?
