Hello everyone! My name is Adelia, and I just had a minor procedure a week ago and am now in the recovery phase. My face is still a bit swollen and has some redness, which they said is normal for the early stages.
Has anyone experienced something similar and have any good tips for a skincare routine during recovery? I'm worried that too much activity or using the wrong products might prolong the swelling. Right now, I'm mostly just using a super gentle cleanser and a light moisturizer, but I'm not sure if this is enough or too little.
I'm also curious, how long does it usually take for swelling and bruising to disappear? The people at the clinic said it takes time but weren't very specific 😅 If anyone can share their experiences or routines that worked for them, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks, everyone!

I've also gone through a similar recovery period and think your current skincare routine is very smart! In my experience, the first two weeks were really just about gentle cleansing + hydration, and then avoiding hot water and excessive massage as much as possible, which helps the swelling gradually subside. Everyone recovers at a different pace, but patience is really key 😊
Oh, I totally understand your concerns! I also just finished my procedure not too long ago and I'm still in the swelling phase. I'm really worried about using the wrong products and delaying my recovery 😅 It's very wise of you to be using a gentle cleanser and lightweight moisturizers right now; I'm also only daring to use things conservatively like that. Everyone says time really heals most things, but how long it actually takes varies from person to person... Sometimes even the medical staff can't give a definite answer, haha. Looking forward to you seeing results soon!
Hi Adelia! I really enjoyed reading your post. I'm also thinking about trying something similar, so your tips are super helpful for me. Gentle products and lightweight moisturizers seem like the safest bet, at least until the initial recovery phase is over!
