Hi! My name is Bank, and I'm from Thailand. I'm currently studying aesthetic treatments in South Korea. My problem is, I can't read Korean very well. So, when looking for reviews on community forums or local SNS, what should I look for to ensure the information is reliable? And what are some red flags to watch out for?
I see a lot of reviews, but I'm not sure if they're trustworthy. Some seem to promote the clinic too much, while others are too short, making it hard to tell if they're genuine. And before-and-after photos look easily edited. How can I be sure they're not lying? 😅
Has anyone ever studied reviews from festivals like this? What kind of Korean text is usually written in reviews that are beyond my comprehension? I'm hesitant to use a translator because I'm afraid of misunderstanding. I'd really appreciate any hints or tips from someone who's actually experienced this. Thank you in advance!

I completely understand how you feel! I'm a foreigner too, and I was initially confused by the Korean comments as well; some of them seemed really exaggerated. My current approach is to try to find comments that are more detailed and mention specific feelings rather than just photos. I also check opinions from multiple platforms to cross-reference them, which makes me feel more at ease.
I'm interested! What app does Bank use to translate reviews, or does he/she try to learn more beauty-related terminology? 😊
Hey Bank, this is such a helpful question! I was wondering—when you're looking through reviews, have you noticed certain keywords or phrases that seem to pop up in the ones that feel more genuine versus the super promotional ones? I'm also struggling with the language barrier and would love to know what red flags you've spotted so far!
