Hi everyone, I'm Quynh from Vietnam, currently researching cosmetic clinics in Seoul. The problem is, I can't read Korean very well, so when I go to Naver or other review sites, I only know how to use Google Translate, and I feel a bit insecure. There are very few English reviews on foreign sites, or I'm not sure if the sources are reliable.
Have any of you faced this problem before? Are there any ways to spot fake reviews, or warning signs I should look out for? For example, if a clinic has too many 5-star reviews, or reviews that are too similar, is that suspicious?
I also want to know, besides reviews, what else do you check before deciding on a place? Should I ask the clinic directly about the doctor's qualifications, or are there the usual questions you always ask? I want to be well-prepared before going there.

I completely understand how you feel. I'm also a foreigner considering treatment in Seoul, and language is definitely a challenge. I think your intuition is right—if all the reviews for a clinic seem too perfect or the wording is very similar, it's certainly suspicious. My current approach is to try to find clinics that offer English consultations. This way, I can directly ask about the doctor's background and experience, which is much more reassuring than relying solely on translated reviews!
I understand; I had the same anxieties at first. To be honest, it's scary to rely solely on translation, isn't it? I think the safest thing to do is to actually contact the clinic directly by email or phone. Surprisingly, many places offer English support, so don't hesitate to ask any questions you have!
