Hello, I'm Haruka. I've recently become interested in cosmetic treatments in Korea, but honestly, I have no idea how to find a trustworthy clinic... 😅
How do international patients choose? I'm particularly concerned about the language barrier. Should I look for clinics that offer services in English or Japanese, or is it manageable with translation apps? What's the reality?
Also, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me what to check during consultations. How can I identify a reliable counselor, and is there anything I should prepare beforehand? Hearing about the experiences of those who have actually gone through it would be incredibly helpful.

I get flustered just like you! The way I handle it is by first asking my foreign friends here, then checking if they offer English support. Using Google Translate is also an option, but it's best to prepare important questions in writing beforehand to ask clearly during consultations.
Haruka, as a fellow foreigner, I totally get how you feel 😅 Language is such a worry, isn't it? At first, I thought translation apps would be enough, but in reality, choosing a clinic with Japanese-speaking staff made consultations so much easier and more reassuring. For your counseling session, it's a good idea to bring photos of what you're hoping for!
Hello! I'm also a foreigner, so I totally get your concerns 😅 My experience is to first check Google reviews and comments on Korean online communities, then directly message the clinic to ask if they have English or Japanese-speaking consultants. Many places are actually willing to accommodate. I think what's more important than language is asking a few more questions during the consultation and seeing if the doctor and consultant have the patience to explain. You'll feel a difference!
Hi Haruka! I totally feel you on this—the language barrier thing had me stressed at first too, but honestly I found that having at least *one person* in the consultation who speaks English made such a difference for peace of mind. I'd definitely try to find a place with English support if you can, just so you can ask detailed questions without worrying about miscommunication. Good call asking about what to prepare beforehand!
